Can I follow my own stocks or add additional stocks for MSP ALGO to track?
The stocks that are tracked are listed above. No, you cannot add additional stocks to the list. We follow a limited amount of stocks due to the cost of getting the data in real-time so that people can have a reasonable chance to afford this type of service competitive to institutions algorithms. It we followed more symbols it would increase our cost another 25k per month and then we would also have to get new servers and developers to handle the work load of data cost which would cost an additional 25k per month. Total cost per month would be 50k per month to add more symbols beyond our current list of symbols.
You cannot add any symbols unless you are willing to pay 50k per month extra cost in advance for those symbols and hiring of additional developers to maintain the workload.
Our goal is try to let the little guy have the ability to compete trading the market by following most popular symbols.
We cannot change the symbols or add new ones or else cost would be increased across the board. Trading service for members would cost in excess of 25 k per month per member.
In a nutshell we cannot change or add any new symbols we follow we contracted with the data provider until 2025 and the contract can’t be broken.
There are more than enough symbols to make a profit trading.
